Biography

I am a textile artist specialising in weaving, embroidery, tufting, and latch- hook. Within my practice, I create works which respond to my immediate environment of Gomeroi country, using colur and texture as my main source.

 

Education

2010-                     Certificate IV in Visual Arts and Contemporary Crafts (Tamworth TAFE)

 

Professional Experience

2017 to present:    Self-employed: Creating textile artworks in bodies of works for exhibitions; pieces on                                commission; and individual pieces.
                              Workshop facilitator in textile workshops for adults and kids.

2017 to present:    Art workshop facilitator and assistant with Tamworth Regional Gallery

2017 to present:    Workshop facilitator and assistant in cultural weaving with Yinarr Maramali

2019:                     Workshop facilitator for ‘Weaving Warrabah’ with Yinarr Maramali

2021:                     Assistant weaver for artist Amy Hammond's ' Crown Buggalaa'

2022 to present:    Part owner/founder of Tamworth Art Academy

                              Art teacher at Tamworth Art Academy

2023:                     Artist residency at Museam of Sydney with Yinarr Maramail
